Jim passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Helen Sawyer Hogg and Dr. Frank Scott Hogg, his stepfather F.E.L. Priestley, his son David, his sister Sally, and his brother Dave (late wife Carol). Wonderful father to Nancy and Susan. Caring uncle to Rod, Graham (Laraine), Ed, Brian, Doug (Shauna), and their families. Kind cousin to Mary and Christine.

Jim was a gifted teacher who inspired and helped many students over the years. He will be remembered for his gentle, humble nature and his strong faith.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.

Maria Antonucci

May 1940 - November 15, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Maria Antonucci. Maria passed away on Friday, November 15, in her 84th year, surrounded by her family. Born in May 1940 in Corfinio, Italy, she was the loving wife of the late Concezio Antonucci.

Maria was the devoted mother to Lisa (Shane) and Paola (Anthony) and the cherished Nonna to Kristen, Adam, Mark, Kevin, and Andre. She will be dearly missed by her extended family, relatives, and friends.

Maria found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and creating home-cooked meals for special occasions. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the memories she left in the hearts of those who loved her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many healthcare workers who cared for Maria with love and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Tuesday, November 19, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 10295 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, November 20, at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
