Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8th, 2025, at the age of 66 years. He is survived by his loving daughter Erica (Brandon). Sisters Denise Brosseau (Ralph), Gisele Berube (Paul), and brother Marcel Myre (Shelley). He is predeceased by his parents Yvonne Myre (Boudrias), Armand Myre, and sister Claire Pellerin.
Gilles was an employee at Tembec (RYAM) where he retired after 30 plus years. He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, riding, skiing, sledding, fishing, and having fun.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at North Bay Regional Health Centre, Dr. Mah, and Dr. Leckie for their extraordinary care. A celebration of life will be announced in the summer. Interment will take place in Temiscaming and Hunter’s Point (Quebec).

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 69 years. Dan was the beloved husband of Teresa (née Hargrave) Boyer and the loving father to Derek Boyer (Ashley), Jeff Boyer (Michelle), and Kristin Boyer (Mike). He was the cherished grandfather to Tristan, Kingstan, Riley, Everett, and Caleb.
Dan will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Mike Boyer (Carolyn), Randy Boyer (Ursula), and Tim Boyer (Jocelyn), and deeply missed by his father Rudy Boyer. He was predeceased by his mother Madeline MacWilliam.

Claudette Courchesne passed away suddenly at the age of 73 on December 15, 2024, at her home in North Bay with her loving husband and son at her side. Claudette leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Marc, her daughter Danielle Courchesne (Carlos Montero), her son Philippe Courchesne, and her grandchildren Leonardo and Vincient Montero. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Louise Boisvert and brother Andre Proulx, as well as many cousins and friends.
Claudette was predeceased by her parents Marius and Yvette Proulx and her twin brother Claude Proulx. Born in Sudbury on September 27, 1951, she relocated to North Bay to begin her nursing career at St-Joseph’s Hospital. She was a dedicated operating room technician, serving for 35 years and assisting various surgeons. Claudette often worked long hours and was always passionate about her work.
As per Claudette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home Ltd. (North Bay) on Sunday, December 22, 2024, between 1 and 4 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 4 p.m. in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel. Known for his wit and sarcastic sense of humor, Ronald “Ron” Dale Eden brought joy to those around him through his music, stories, and love of fishing. Ron peacefully passed away at West Nipissing General Hospital in Sturgeon Falls on November 15, 2024, at the age of 71.
Ron was a devoted father to Craig and Colin and a loving husband to Cathy (née Shearer) Eden. He was an unforgettable grandfather to Caitlin and Cole, and a cherished sibling to Sandra Peladeau, Merle Gaudette, Eileen Eden, Brian Eden, and Janet Turnbull. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Gilroy and Lila (née Cayen) Eden.
Ron's passions included playing guitar, entertaining with his songs, and spending quality time with his beloved dog, Blackie. Always available to lend a hand or an ear, Ron was a steadfast friend and family member.
As per Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will not be a formal service. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the West Nipissing Hospice in Ron’s memory.
