Angela Ann Hillier (née Saunders)

March 6, 1951 – February 20, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Angela Ann Hillier on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in Cape Cove, Newfoundland, to Patrick and Emma Saunders, Angela was part of a large and loving family.

In 1970, Angela married the love of her life, Dave Hillier, and they remained steadfast in their love until Dave’s passing in 2014. Together, they were blessed with three children: David (Paulette) Hillier, Lesley (Brian) Reynolds, and Michael (Richelle) Hillier. She was a devoted grandmother to Chloe and Lainey Hillier, as well as Brody, Johnny, and Charlie Reynolds, with whom she shared a close and loving relationship.

Angela is survived by many beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Emma Saunders, her husband Dave, and brothers Patrick, Jerry, and Dave.

Friends and family are invited to a Visitation at McKersie & Early Funeral Home (114 Main Street East, Milton, Ontario) on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025, followed by a reception in the Upper Lounge of the Funeral Home. An elevator is available for those requiring assistance.

Timothy "Tim" Joseph Brush

May 14, 1982 – February 21, 2025

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Timothy Brush on February 21, 2025, at the age of 42. He is now reunited with his older brother Sam, his father Brian, his grandfather Kenneth, and his grandmother Alice.

Tim is survived by his two beloved sons, Roman and Kingston, his mother Bonita, his nephew Sam, his uncle Wayne, his aunt Cynthia, and his cousins Leah, Katie, Connor, and Sarah.

Tim was a truly remarkable person, loved and admired by many. His intelligence allowed him to accomplish anything he set his mind to, and his sense of humor could bring laughter to anyone. He cherished his children above all else and loved taking them camping, fishing, and to the family cottage in the summer. Tim also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his nephew Sam.

He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dr. Thomas Arthur Wright

December 9, 1931 – February 12, 2025

Dr. Thomas Arthur Wright passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by his loving family. To the end, he was blessed with a deep Christian faith, a close-knit family, many dear friends, and a generous spirit.

Dr. Wright was a compassionate and skilled orthopaedic spine surgeon, known for his dedication to his patients. His life was filled with adventure and service, including teaching European surgeons in Scotland, serving as a war surgeon in Nigeria, mentoring new surgeons at the University of Toronto, and caring for dancers at the National Ballet School.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara (Montizambert) Wright, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. He is lovingly remembered by his children Janet (Paul), Ian (Kaethe), and Margot (Rob); grandchildren Jonathan (Becca), Cameron (Arpita), Caity (Jared), Chloe (Paul), Anya, and Talia; and great-grandchildren Samuel, Abram, Winnifred, Elijah, and Grace.

His funeral will be held on May 30, 2025, at St. George’s Anglican Church, 4691 Palladium Way, Burlington, Ontario. Interment will follow at St. George’s Lowville Cemetery, 7051 Guelph Line, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dr. Wright’s memory can be made to St. George’s Anglican Church, Burlington or the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine Bursary and Excellence Fund.

Sharon Anne Mary Henry passed away on January 17, 2025. Visitation will take place at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, Milton, on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Parish on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Milton Evergreen Cemetery.

Joseph Crisci

Joseph Giuseppe Crisci passed away at the Milton District Hospital on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Joseph is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 52 years. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Jonathon, Matthew (Becky), David, and Alex (Sasha).

Joseph was born in Milton, Ontario, and worked as a butcher for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved being at the cottage and playing cribbage.
He will be deeply missed and loved by his family.

Visitation will be held at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton, on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Vigil Prayers will be held during the evening visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish, 139 Martin St., Milton, followed by the burial at Milton Evergreen Cemetery, 230 Ontario St. S., Milton.

Barbara Eloise Louise Warren

May 19, 1951 - December 20, 2024

In Loving Memory of Barbara Eloise (Louise) Warren, who passed away after a brief illness on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the age of 73.
Louise was the beloved wife of John Warren for 54 wonderful years, a devoted mother to three sons, Sean (Deanne), Rick (Robyn), and Todd (Amy),
and a cherished Nana to seven grandchildren, Daniel (Kathleen), Taylor, Andrew (Ruby), Annie, Mae, Kennedy, and Grant.

Born on May 19, 1951, in Old Meadowvale Village, Louise was the beloved daughter of Irene and George (Sgt., RCAF WWII) McKee.
She was predeceased by her sisters Lynn (Al) Wrigglesworth and Karen (Mike) Israel. Louise was known for her warm presence,
her love for life, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and heard.

Louise loved playing golf, snapping photographs of sunsets, and cherishing moments with her family. She was an avid card player for over 45 years,
nurturing friendships and creating endless laughter with her “card girls.” Louise’s favorite places—Peekaboo Trail, Drury Park, and Eagle Creek—will always hold her spirit.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and beautiful memories lives on.

The Miramichi became a cherished haven for Louise and her family. Warren Lane will forever symbolize Louise’s love for family, nature, and her enduring connections.

Rupert R. Franks

January 23, 1936 – December 12, 2024

Rupert Raymond Franks, aged 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home in Mississauga. Born in Mangalore, India, to Leo and Emma Franks on January 23, 1936, Rupert lived a life rich in love, adventure, and dedication.

He is survived by his beloved wife of almost sixty years, Letitia Agatha Franks; his five cherished children—Leonard, Conrad, Mildred, Eldred, and Bernard; and his older brother, Hubert Franks. He is predeceased by his siblings Austin Franks, Jason Franks, and a baby sister. Rupert is also the adored grandfather of three grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, and Anjali, who brought him endless joy and whom he loved deeply.

During his childhood, Rupert attended a Jesuit boarding school, excelling in both academics and sports. He began his career as a radio engineer before transitioning into banking, a profession that took him to Uganda and later to the Middle East in the aftermath of the war. His work and travels nurtured his love for exploring diverse cultures, and he became fluent in more than four languages.

Rupert will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, sociable nature, and unwavering faith. He was a man who deeply cherished his family and friends, and his loyalty to them knew no bounds. A natural storyteller and a “living encyclopedia” of wisdom and experience, Rupert brought life and laughter to those around him.

In his later years, Rupert continued to enjoy the activities and connections he loved, staying fully present until his final moments. His family is forever grateful to those who provided care and support during his last years; he recognized and appreciated each of them deeply.

Rupert now rests peacefully with the Lord and the loved ones who preceded him. His legacy of love, faith, and adventure will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.

Resting at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton, where the family will receive visitors from 9am – 10am on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Then proceeding to St. Benedict’s Catholic Parish, 300 Yates Dr., Milton, for the funeral mass (time to be confirmed). Following the mass, the Rite of Committal will take place at Hoy Family Cemetery, 2523 Lower Base Line, Milton. A reception announcement will be added once those details are finalized.

Donald Ernest Wiles
1927 - 2024

Donald Ernest Wiles peacefully entered into rest on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 97, following a long and successful life.

Don was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Marian Wiles, and is lovingly remembered by his children Barbara Connelly, Debra Lapmardo (Chuck), Diane Reeds (Paul), and Stuart Wiles (Shelly). Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Lauren, Ben, Emily, Leslie, Dayna, Brettney, Adam, Sean, and Drew, and proud great-grandfather to twelve. He is survived by his sisters Marion, Lillian, and Phyllis and predeceased by siblings Shirley, Norma, and Jim.

Over a distinguished 44-year career with Massey Ferguson, Don managed tractor manufacturing plants across Canada, the United States, and Argentina. In retirement, he settled in the Woodstock area, where friends and family enjoyed his beautifully maintained property and warm hospitality. His grandchildren treasure the many fond memories of time spent at his country home.

Cremation has taken place through Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, Lindsay, ON. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at McKersie & Early Funeral Home Ltd., 114 Main Street East, Milton, ON, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am in the funeral chapel.
