Gary Bruce Conners passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario, at the age of 84. Cherished husband of Norma Shellington-Conners, Gary was a loving father to Colleen Jasnich (David) and Susan Conners (Mike) and a proud grandfather to Kristen and Erin Tubbe, Lucas Jasnich, and Emma Christine.
Gary was a beloved brother to Gail Lawson, Carol Finley, Linda Botbyl (Harry), and Rick Landry (Heather). He was predeceased by his parents, Ken Conners and Ruth Landry; his sister, Sandra Petersen; and his brothers-in-law, Pete Petersen, Ron Finley, and Bob Lawson. Gary will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
A proud veteran of the Canadian Navy, Gary also had a distinguished career as a police officer and corrections officer. He lived life on his terms — with love, laughter, and no regrets.
The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Gary’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation. Friends and family are invited to the Morse & Son Event Centre for fellowship and shared memories after the service.

ZALOKAR, Frank – After a lengthy illness, on November 13, 2024, Frank passed away at the age of 63. He was the beloved son of Kristina, cherished brother of Marietta Laing (Bruce) and David, and loving uncle to Deitric and Freya Zalokar.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his uncle Frank and aunt Ivanka Plesko and their families, as well as many friends, the Shaw Festival community, and family in Slovenia. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Darrin Desilets passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 25, 2024, at the age of 51.
Darrin was the soulmate and loving partner to Julia, a devoted father to Jilian, and cherished by Olivia and Lauren. Beloved son of Bob Desilets and the late Patti Desilets, he was a cherished brother and best friend to Donny Desilets (Beth) and a dear brother-in-law to Dan and Tina Horton, Damian and Sylvia Iamarino, Anthony and Maria Iamarino, and Connie and Pat Dion. Darrin was an adored uncle to Mason, Averi, Alycia, Daniel, Nicolas, Steven, Lucas, Natalie, Emily, Christina, Jeremy, and their partners, and a great-uncle to Nolan, Maddyn, Cooper, Kyra, and Luke. He will also be deeply missed by his fur babies, Maggie and Louise.
Known for his kind and genuine spirit, Darrin enjoyed golf and time spent with family and friends. He was an avid Steelers fan and often found joy in working on projects with his dad. Darrin worked at Niagara Falls Casino for over 20 years, earning the love and respect of his coworkers. A dedicated father, he was actively involved in his daughter’s ringette games as a coach. Self-described as a “gourmet chef” and an artist, Darrin lived life to the fullest and brought joy to those around him.
A celebration of Darrin’s life will be held at a later date. In his memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.
