Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, December 16th, 2024, Samuel Wesley “Sam” Schonnop passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Bonnie Rye, Sam was a devoted and loving father to Jason (Kristan), Todd (Jen), Matthew, Luke, and Jessica.
He is remembered fondly by his siblings Debbie (John) Hiltz, Don (Ingrid) Schonnop, and Tammy (Steve) Slavin. Predeceased by his parents Maynard and Marnie Schonnop (née Faar), Sam leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Respecting Sam’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, Amanda Bridgette McGillivray of Pembroke passed away in her 42nd year. Beloved daughter of Barry and Maureen McGillivray (née Steele), Amanda was a loving mother to Gabriella McGillivray (Mike Hartwig), Logan Forrest, and Katrina Desjardins, and a proud grandmother to Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ann Lynn Leclerc.
Dear sister to Amy (Tim) Quade and Rebecca (James) Sebele, Amanda was cherished by her niece, Tessa Jill Sebele, and remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by her grandparents David and Jill Steele, and Norm and Anne McGillivray, Amanda’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed.
A proud member of the youth choir and active participant at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Pembroke, Amanda’s early love for gardening earned her a Junior Horticultural Award. She was devoted to her family, her beloved pets Bailey, Lucy, and Pip, and her best friend and confidant Nancy Page.
Amanda gave over 15 years of dedicated service at Tim Hortons in Pembroke, where she advanced to store manager at the downtown location, affectionately known as “163.”

Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, November 11, 2024, Charles Joseph "Charlie" Dupuis passed away in his 87th year after courageously facing three different cancers over the past five years. Married to his soulmate Louise (née Leroux) for nearly 63 years, he was a beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Charlie leaves behind his loving children: Sherry Dupuis (Bryan Smale), Derrick (Tania) Dupuis, Tammy (Michael) Blackmore, and Brent Dupuis, and his cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Alec, Brendan, and Jackson. He was a dear brother to Theresa (the late Al) Church and is predeceased by his parents Marcel and Ida Mae Dupuis (née Danis), and by his siblings Yvette, Eleanor (the late Gerard) Labine, Anna (the late Adam) Yolkowski, Melvina (the late Robert) Post, Wilfred, Edmond (the late Yvonne), Vincent (Mary), and Andrew (the late Dorothy) Dupuis.
Charlie will be remembered as a kind, selfless, and humble man with a wonderful sense of humor. A talented master carpenter, skilled guitarist, and enthusiastic golfer, he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His legacy of generosity and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Inurnment of ashes will take place at St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of John Joseph “Jack” Leblanc at his home on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the age of 73. Jack was the beloved son of the late John Andrew and Marion Teresa Leblanc (née Dougherty). He leaves behind his loving family, including his children Joseph (Jen) Leblanc and Sarah (Steve) Metcalf. Jack was predeceased by his son Marc Leblanc. He was a proud grandfather to Ethan, Dylan, Annabelle, Veronica, Henry, and Lela.
Jack will be dearly missed by his sister Elaine (Bill) Nieman of Pembroke, and will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends. Known for his warmth and kindness, Jack touched the lives of those around him and will be greatly missed.

Peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, in her 89th year, Alice Agnes Margaret Green (née Hoelke) of Pembroke passed away. Beloved wife of the late Parnell Green and loving mother of Laurie (the late Art) Brisson, Betty (Jim) Homuth, Holly Kashmark, and Parnell Green Jr.
Alice was the dear sister of Patricia (the late Terry) Laronde and Edward (the late Evelyn) Hoelke. She is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl (Rick) Cameron, her parents Alfred Frederick and Edna Eleanor Hoelke (née Boshart), her sister Betty (the late Wallace) Robinson, and her brother Alfred (the late Teresa) Hoelke. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.

Hein, Dellert Anvin – Passed away suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by family at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in his 88th year.
Dellert Hein of Pembroke was the dearly loved husband of Elizabeth Hein (Barras), and by first marriage, the late Viola Hein (née Turcotte). He was a devoted father to Todd (Diane), Trent (Therese), Grant, Brent (Wendy), and Troy Hein, as well as a beloved stepfather to Stephen and James (Laura Lee) Barras, and the late Dawn Trahan (Mike). Dellert was a proud grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Robert Hein, stepfather Alex Nieman, mother Annie (née Wieland), sister Eva Beaudrie (late Oscar), and brother Ernest Hein (late Lillian).

Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the age of 78.
Karen Lowerison (née Marshall) of Petawawa was the beloved wife of Dean Lowerison for 51 wonderful years. She was a devoted mother to Tanya (Paul), Frank, and Kim, and a cherished Nanny to Taylor. Karen was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta Marshall and a dear sister to Sheila Flowers (Cecil). She is predeceased by her brothers Thomas (Barbara) and Robert. Karen will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In accordance with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

WENTZELL, Robert Michael – Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 14, 2024, in his 63rd year. Robert Wentzell of Pembroke was the beloved husband of Melody Wentzell-Hughes.
Robert was a cherished son of Gail (the late Robert) Bacon (née Vankoughnett) and the late Paul Wentzell Sr. He was a devoted father to Koree and Krystal, and a proud grandfather of Korbyn, Malkym, Jonathan, Joesyn, Eylee, Adalia, Danaya, and Brynleigh. Robert will also be fondly remembered by his brothers David Wentzell and Paul (Dolly) Wentzell, and as a stepfather to Matthew and the late Jennifer. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
