She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no service as per her wishes. With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Susan A. Gaudry (Wright) announces her sudden passing on December 1, 2024. Susan was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jack Gaudry, and their children: Dale Gaudry (Kelly), Christie Kelly (Larry), and Danielle Kozyra (Mark). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tiana Gaudry (Benton), Ben, Carter, Josh, Zack Kelly, and Aaron and Skylar Kozyra. Susan is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Rick Wright (Brenda), Dan Wright (Carol), Linda Johnson, Bev Delarue (Ralph), and Shawn Prochnau (Ashley), as well as by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Clifford Wright and June Gill, her grandmother Edith Robbins, and her beloved son Clark and son-in-law Paul.
Susan spent her childhood in Port Arthur, Ontario, and her life was defined by her dedication to family. She met Jack, the love of her life, at just 14 years old, and they married at 19. Susan’s love for her family extended into her career and hobbies, and she cherished creating memories with her grandchildren, camping, and enjoying nature.
Susan’s life will be celebrated on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Lakehead University in the Faculty Lounge, beginning at 1:00 PM. Free parking will be available in Lots G13 and G14. Interment will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.sargentandson.com.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Lee Thompson on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Peter was 41 years old.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Kaneshia; his mother Margaret and step-father Daniel; father Peter; and siblings Amik Gomm, Jamey Thompson, and John Munroe. He is also deeply mourned by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Peter is predeceased by his cherished son Braydon Thompson, his grandparents on both sides, and the mother of his children, Marlene Fox.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home.

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Frances (Fran/Franny) Elizabeth Zawerucha, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 23, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay.
Born in Fort William, Fran spent her life in Ignace, Ontario, where she met her late husband, Mirvin, and raised her children. She worked at various places, including the YMCA, The Voyager, The Bay/Northern Store, and Ricci’s Trucking, leaving a positive impact on everyone she encountered. In her retirement, Fran found joy in her garden, decorating for holidays, and staying active in her community through the Legion, The Lions, Silver Tops, and Northern Critters.
Fran will be forever missed by her daughters Melanie Zawerucha, Janice Zawerucha (Adam), Tracy Nicholls (Terry), her grandchildren Jeff Nicholls (Jen), great-granddaughters Emily and Maddie Nicholls, and her “sweet boy,” grandson Simon Zawerucha, with whom she shared a special bond. Cherished memories remain with her “little brother” John Davis, her sister Georgina Davis-Dmitriew, niece Kaitlyn Taylor-Mitchell, and dear friends Dot Cooney, Joanne Armstrong, and neighbor Bob Boose. She was predeceased by her husband Mirvin, sons Allan and Calvin, and her mother, Georgina Davis.
Fran’s light, laughter, generosity, and courage will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Special thanks to Scott and Mandy Coppin, Bob Boose, and the compassionate care teams at Thunder Bay Regional and St. Joseph’s.
