Loved grandmother of Craig (Lara), Chad (Lordus), Todd (Yim), Joshua (Kristyn), Ashley, Jamie (Sarah), Nina (Doug), Ian (Terri), Steven (Kasey), Sandra (Chad). It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leslie Keefer announce his peaceful passing at Lakeridge Gardens in Ajax on Friday January 24th, 2025. Leslie was born in Oshawa to Reta and Alvin Keefer on August 14, 1947. Leslie was employed by the Town of Whitby, Ontario for 30 years and was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Leslie loved his family and his pets Jorge and Daks. His favourite pastimes included flying his plane, driving his 1929 Mercedes, camping and spending time in the mountains.
Leslie leaves to mourn his wife Anne Keefer and his son Jason. Cherished grandfather to Tanner and Aspen Keefer. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Murray, Louis, James and Barry, and his sisters Lillian Weatherbee and Linda Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial for Leslie Keefer will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy 7A) in Port Perry on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10 a.m. with Father Silva officiating. Devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Wilma (nee Toms) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Bowmanville, in her 90th year. Wilma was the heart and soul of her family. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Keith (2021), together they raised five children: Cindy Werry (Dennis), Barry Van Camp (Steven Backs), Leanne O’Donnell (Jim), Debbie Van Camp, and Jay Van Camp (Kelly). She was a cherished grandma to John (Heather), Robert (Tracey), Ashley (Nate), Kaitlin (Peter), Amanda, Erika, Madison, and Haley, and was privileged enough to experience the lives of her 10 great-grandchildren: Paige, Tate, Leah, Anna, Curtis, Chase, Ty, Kenzie, Tilson, and Sadie. Family filled her life with love and meaning. Each member was her pride and joy, and nothing made her happier than to hear of their latest adventures and many accomplishments.
Wilma was predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Elva Toms, sisters Eileen McLaughlin (Harold) and Helen Dorrell (Stuart), and in-laws Merrill, Norma, and Jean Van Camp. She is survived by her sister-in-law Aileen Van Camp and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A lifelong resident of Blackstock, home was Wilma’s favorite place to be. Wilma was able to remain in the comfort of her home thanks to the care and support extended by Steven and Barry throughout her declining years.

Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Blackstock, George Schmidt passed away at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of the late Terezija (née Penic).
George was a devoted father to Rosemarie and Kristina (Brian Krol), a loving grandfather to Amy, Natalie, Olivia, Owen, Maxine, Andrew, and Kevin, and a cherished great-grandfather to Isla and MacArthur. He was predeceased by his parents, Mathias and Rosina Schmidt, and will be fondly remembered by his siblings Heinrich (Gitta), Stefan (late Leni), and Josef (Irmi).

Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa, with family by his side, Peter Day passed away at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (née Scott), Peter was a devoted father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He was the loving father of Peter J. Day, Heather O’Connor (Chris), and Kerri Venedam (Wayne), and was predeceased by his infant daughter, Carol Anne. Peter was a proud grandfather to Adam, Breanne, Cameron, Brittny, Westley, Logan, and Hayden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Allie, Colin, Lennon, and Wray. He is also survived by his sisters Jeannette, Margaret, and Betty.

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Neill Robert McEntyre passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry. He was 58 years old.
Beloved husband of the late Lori (née Collins) of Oshawa, Neill was the loving father of Jaeme and her husband Shane Pascoal of Etobicoke, and Rob McEntyre and his wife Shianne of Bowmanville. He was the cherished Poppa of Ruby. Neill will be missed by his loving companion Nicole ("Nikki") Porter of New Brunswick, his four-legged companions Kaya, Fritz, and Sadie, as well as his extended family and many friends.
Neill’s courage and humor throughout his battle with cancer inspired everyone who knew him. As he once said, “I am pretty sure I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss, it’s a draw.”

With family by his side, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, Glenn Van Camp passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
Glenn was predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna (nee Dowson). Theirs was a love story of 68 years. He was the devoted son of Harry and Edna Van Camp of Blackstock and the cherished father to Bill (Norma), Robert (Cindy), and Paul (Kim). Glenn was adored by his grandchildren Mark (Sara), Joel (Rhea), Dean (Sarah), Marta (Tony), Katie (Craig), Alison (James), Emily (Joshua), Molly (Allan), Eric (Nicole), Alex (Lindsay), and Andrew, as well as his 16 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his brother Art (Val) and nieces Janice, Jill, and Jayne, and nephew David. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne.
Glenn was the founder of Van Camp Contracting in 1956. His hard work, dedication, and integrity built the foundation for a third-generation business that continues to thrive. Civic-minded, Glenn gave back through various service clubs, charities, and board positions. Many of his contributions were anonymous, reflecting his humble nature. In retirement, Glenn pursued his passion for harness racing, finding joy and excitement with his beloved racehorses.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bibby and the caring staff at Oak Ridges Hospice for their compassion during Glenn’s final days. Gratitude is also extended to the staff at Westshore, who provided exceptional care for both Glenn and Donna in their final years.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held following the winter season, with details to be announced at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The Port Perry Hospital Foundation or Oak Ridges Hospice.
Glenn will be laid to rest at Cartwright Union Cemetery, 3990 Edgerton Road, Blackstock, Ontario.
