October 27, 1921 - March 1, 2025

McDonald, Helene Bernadette (née Kahan)… passed away at Hospice Quinte on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at the age of 103.
Loving wife of the late William “Bill” McDonald.

Cherished mother of Tere McDonald (Marie) and Lori Dearing. Proud grandmother of Christie, Megan (Jay),
Shannen, and David (Sarah), and great-grandmother of Asher, Shepard, and Ellie.

Helene was an active participant in the Trenton community over the past 50 years.
During those years, many of her passionate activities included line dancing, hula dancing, playing with
the String Alongs at numerous retirement homes, astronomy, and of course, her renowned crafting skills.
She will always be remembered for her quick wit, her jokes, and her energetic spirit.

A celebration of Helene’s life will be held at Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay St., Trenton, on
Saturday, March 8th, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, with a time of family sharing at 2:30 PM.

If desired, memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or Hospice Quinte would be appreciated by the family.

Miriam Doris Kurita

August 20, 1923 – February 15, 2025

Miriam passed away at Burnbrae Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 102.
She was a devoted mother to Janice and Paul and a loving grandmother to Mark, Paul, Kerri, Meredee, Kristi, and the late Kelly.

Cremation has taken place, and interment will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Jean Marlene Doyle (née Finch) passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
She was a loving mother to Debbie, Terry, and Tammy, a cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many.

Jean is now reunited with her beloved Ronald James Doyle. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends.

On New Year’s Day morning, Jacqueline Payne passed away peacefully in Campbellford after nearly a year’s residence at Stirling Manor.
Beloved wife of the late Donald Howard Payne, she was a devoted mother, sister, and friend to many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11 AM - 3 PM at Beach United, 140 Wineva Ave., Toronto.

Yvonne Jamieson

May 29, 1952 - December 23, 2024

Yvonne Jamieson passed away peacefully at Hospice Quinte on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, in her 73rd year. Married for 53 wonderful years to Wayne Jamieson. Proud mother of Shayne Jamieson & his wife Melissa, and Jeremy Jamieson & his wife April MacDonald. Beloved grandmother of Haley and Nate Jamieson, and Reese and Ava Jamieson.

Yvonne is survived by her loving siblings Reg Liedtke (Donna), Maxine Soles (John), and Arlene Madigan (Allan). She is predeceased by her sister Bertha Wanamaker (Lewis) and her brother Ken Liedtke. Yvonne will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Judith Eddy

September 15, 1947 - December 15, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judith Eddy, beloved mother and grandmother, who left us on Sunday, December 15th at the age of 77. She was a cherished member of her family and community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Judy was a loving mother to her two daughters, Michelle Turpin (Ed) and Stephanie Schruder. Her grandchildren, Ty Turpin and Madisyn Schruder, brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her caring nature and generous heart left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Donald Gregory and James Eddy, her dear sister Carolyn Wannamaker, and her parents Gerald and Doreen Carlisle. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her nephew, Jerry Wannamaker (Wendy Stock Wannamaker), as well as many close friends who will always remember her warmth and caring nature. Judy was deeply involved in her church, where she served with dedication and love. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for all the support and sympathy during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held to honor her life and memory at a later date. Elinor J. Wilson passed away at Moira Place, Tweed, on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husbands Harold White and Peter Wilson. Loving mother of Jeff White (Jeannie), Brian White (Cheryl), and Sherie Chestnut (Cecil). Sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joan Herrington (née McComb), aged 78, passed away peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on November 29, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Harry Herrington, Joan was a devoted daughter to the late William and Vera McComb and a loving mother to Bev Dunlay (Dan) of Campbellford and Cheryl Sleeman (Scott) of Cobourg.

She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley (Peter), Valerie (Chris), Kayla (Shane), and Sierra (Robert), and a proud great-grandmother to Landon, Lucas, Logan, Alexa, Peyton, Connor, Marley, and Theo. Joan is survived by her sister Janis Vieau (Rick) of Cobourg and was predeceased by her brothers Gary McComb and Carl McComb.

Joan was born and raised in Campbellford, where her love for family remained a central focus throughout her life. She spent most of her career working at World’s Finest Chocolate and will be fondly remembered for her dedication, warmth, and loving spirit.

A Spring Interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Joan’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #103 Vimy Room, 34 Bridge St. W., Campbellford, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Glenn Hagerman, who passed away peacefully at Caressant Care in Marmora on November 28, 2024, at the age of 87.

Jim was a loving husband to Mary Hagerman (nee Reid) and a devoted father to Glenn Hagerman (Jennifer), Reid Hagerman (Kim), Nancy Boersma, and Sherrene Hagerman. He was a proud grandfather to Jeffrey (Ashley), Daniel (Sarah), Justin (Dana), Riley (Nikki), Logan (Amber), Samantha (Brayden), Christopher (Kaitlyn), and Kalo (Kristy). He is also lovingly remembered by his 15 great-grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his brother Douglas (the late June) and his sister Bernice Sheppard (the late Howard). His life was filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.

Visitation will be held at Weaver Funeral Home in Campbellford on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Burnbrae Cemetery, with a reception to follow at Burnbrae Presbyterian Church.
