It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margo Virginia Levac
on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Heartwood Long Term Care, at the age of 85.
She will be lovingly remembered by her friends Katherine Secord, Carmine Montpetit,
Stephane Rose, Jason Secord (Mark Maiolo), and her Karaoke friends at the Army Navy Hall.
She was predeceased by her husband Conrad Levac and her parents Perley and Alys Boyd.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of Heartwood for their care and compassion
shown to Margo over the last three years.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall
on Wednesday, March 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Margo’s ashes will be buried with her father at Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring.

William's passion was his farm. He was employed with Domtar for 40 years.

In the company of her family, Mary Isabel MacDonell (née MacDonald) passed away peacefully at Maxville Manor on February 25, 2025, at the age of 99 years.
Isabel will be sadly missed by her children Hugh Charles (Sandy), Cathy McManaman (Jim), Jerome (Patricia), and Roy. She was the cherished grandmother of Andrew, Lindy, Allister, Michael, and Hannah.
She was predeceased by her husband Archibald C. MacDonell, her parents Hugh R. MacDonald and Penelope (Lopie) MacPhee, her sister Mary Jane MacDonald (Cormic), and her brothers Angus (June), Lindy, and Duncan.
Born and raised on the family farm near St. Raphael’s, Isabel was educated at Iona Academy and later worked for the federal government in a clerical role supporting the war effort. She later married Archibald MacDonell of Williamstown, where they operated a small dairy farm and raised their family.
Isabel was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Williamstown and a member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Guild. She will be best remembered for her quick wit, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Maxville Manor for their excellent care and compassion, especially Dr. Rossbach, Christie Thompson, and all the nurses and PSWs.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford "Cliff" Wesley Rees on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 82. Cliff was the beloved husband of Betty Rees (née Gosse) for 61 wonderful years. He was a dear father to Chris Rees (Karen) and Dave Rees (Geneviève), and a cherished grandfather to Mitchell Rees. Cliff is also survived by his siblings Donald Rees (Connie), Nita Tremblett (late Michael), and Carl Rees (Lynn), as well as many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George Rees and Maria Parsons, and his adopted parents, Allen and Julianna Parsons.
Born on Bell Island, Newfoundland, Cliff worked for most of his first career at Nav-Canada as a Radio Operator, Flight Service Specialist, and later as Manager of Flight Service Specialist Training. His work led the family to several places in northern and eastern Ontario. After retiring, Cliff pursued his passion as a skilled woodworker, a second career he never truly retired from.
Cliff was a proud Mason for over 50 years, serving as Master of his lodge multiple times and as District Deputy Grand Master. He cherished the friendships he made within the lodge and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Funeral Details: Cliff’s family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall (613-938-3888), on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Chosen father of Shaylin Thompson and Taylor Adeline, and chosen brother of Cam Goodman. He is predeceased by his parents Phillip Thompson and Mary Benedict and by his siblings Dennis Thompson and John Thompson.
Chief Thompson served the community of Akwesasne (Kana:takon) for seven terms as a District Chief and from 2006-2009 as a Grand Chief for Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. He also served as Chair of the Independent First Nations Executive Committee, representing 12 First Nations of Ontario. He was a great advocate for elders and was known for his kindness and dedication to his community.
Dooley’s family will welcome loved ones and friends at the Akwesasne Homemaker Center, 1126 River Road, Akwesasne, QC, from 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 19th, 2024. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Noon in St. Regis Mission Catholic Church, followed by cremation and a spring burial.
