Peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday September 30th, 2024 at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 63 years. Loving father of Denise (Stephen) Allen, Dan (Mandi), Stephen (predeceased), John (June) and Marcel (Audra). Cherished Grandpa of Joshua, Amanda, Kaitlin, Bryce, Byron, Marcus, Evan, Ryan, Mathew, Ashley, Sarah, Justin, and great Grandpa to Logan, Emmett, Claire, Callum, Alice and Darian. Emmanuel will be fondly remembered by his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Emmanuel’s passion was his carpentry and building his custom home (paradise), he spent his career and most of his life designing and building homes.

Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday October 3rd from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 4th at 1:30 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. After a lengthy battle, Eamon flew with the angels, from Safehaven on Saturday September 28th, 2024 at 13 years of age. Cherished son of Dana Moxam and Neal Moxam. Never forgotten by his sisters Amélie and Isla. Dear grandson of Gail (Gigi) Brideau and the late Guy Brideau, and James and Nita Moxam. He will be forever missed by his Auntie Coco (Nicole) Brideau and Uncle Emitt Kuyt, and Scott and Sherry Nelson. Eamon will be always loved by Auntie Sarah and Uncle Shane, Auntie Jenn (Mom 2), and his best friend Marol, and by his many extended family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Dirks and all the nurses, doctors, therapists and staff at SickKids, Holland Bloorview, Grandview Kids, Hearth Place and Safehaven for their care, love and support. Lastly, we would like to give a special thank you to the teachers, educational assistants, staff and volunteers at Sir Albert Love C.S. (Oshawa), Pierre Elliott Trudeau P.S. (Oshawa), and Vincent Massey P.S. (Bowmanville) for their outpouring of continued support.

Over the last eight years, Eamon was determined to never give up and he always found joy and happiness every day. We will cherish Eamon’s witty antics, maniacal laugh, and his unwavering self advocacy, whether you liked it or not.

Eamon has been and will always be a shining light in our lives. We will always think of him every time we watch a Star Wars movie or hear a Strumbellas song.

Ercilia passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband Antonio, her parents and her brother and sister. Ercilia was the beloved wife of Antonio Batista Machado. A loving mother to Jose, Maria (Ron). Cherished Nana to Grace (A special friend, Renly the cat). Cherished Grandma to Jesse (Tracey), Angee, and Marcia (Brent). Cherished Great Grandma to Ryker, Chloe, and Kadri. Ercilia will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation for Ercilia at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road in Ajax ON) on Thursday, October 3 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm in our chapel. Following the funeral service, we will have an interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (1757 Church Street North, Ajax, ON).

Judith Anne Figueiredo (formerly Judy Miller), 69, of Ajax, ON, passed away September 25th, 2024. "Judy" Figueiredo, sister of Bill Miller jr. (Cathy Miller), devoted and loving daughter of Bill Miller sr. and Celine Miller, loving mother to Paul Fleming (Jessica Fleming), Jaclyn Fleming, and Amanda Figueiredo (Josh White) and wonderful grammie to Quinn and Reilly Fleming, passed away September 25th, 2024 at Sunnybrook Hospital, due to complications of surgery battling cancer.

Judy worked diligently and tremendously for The Toronto Star for many years, as an Assistant District Representative and as a Weekend Supervisor downtown and in the Whitby office. Judy was known to all as a light in a room. She was a lover of all animals, big and small. She had an extreme passion for music and movies. She had a beautiful, quirky sense of humour that would make anyone laugh. She was an incredible cook and loved to bring people together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering VIllage, Ajax, ON L1T 2Z7 on October 3rd, 2024 from 4-8pm.

Donations can be made in her name to either Luke's Place or the Women's Resource Centre.

Hercia, Steve, (retired GM employee of 33 years) passed peacefully with his family by his side after a short battle at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, September 26, 2024 in his 72nd year. Loving father of Natalie Hercia (Steve Cappellano) and Stephen Hercia. Proud Gigi of Trevor and Josie Cappellano. Dear brother of Dennis (Margaret) and their son Johnathan of Texas and Cathy (the late Ron Dancey). Cherished and fatherly uncle of Michael Dancey (Michelle and their son Wolfgang) and Robert Dancey. Predeceased by his parents Steve and Josephine Hercia. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends.

A special thank you to his friend Larry Jordan and the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Palliative Care for their wonderful care and support during this time. Also to all family, friends and neighbours who entertained him with their visits.

Camille Ann Cox (De Abreu) passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, at Bay Ridges Long Term Care in Pickering, at the age of 85, after a lengthy and courageous journey through Alzheimer’s disease. She was the eldest daughter of Frank and Wilhelmina De Abreu (deceased) and the loving mother of Richard (Darcy), Laurie Ann, Peter (Christine) and Geoff—a proud grandmother to André and Elise.

Camille had an enthusiastic love for sports, especially with three sons who shared her passion. She enjoyed cheering her sons on in swimming and hockey, and also loved watching tennis.

She will be forever remembered by her siblings: Terrence (Desiree) Mike (Liz) Desiree (David), Barbara (Gerry), Bernard (Marian), Rose (Mike), Jacqueline (Peter), and her many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Sue, who guided and supported her through the first eight years of her journey. We are forever grateful for the community of Vistula Drive that treated her like family.
Thanks also to the staff at Bay Ridges Long Term Care for their guidance and support, especially those who worked in the Mitchell Park Unit and cared for Camille for almost ten years.

May she rest in peace.
