WILLMORE, George William Andrew 'Bill' - Best known as "Bill Willmore."

Born in Holmfield, Manitoba on December 18th, 1931 and passed away peacefully in his sleep at Hillsdale Estates on Saturday, December 19th, 2020.

Son of the late George Willmore and Eleonor Margaret Willmore (nee Corr).

Predeceased by wife Barbara (Young) and daughters Joanne Luffman (Doug) and Janice Willmore.

Survived by son, and closest friend, Wayne Willmore of Oshawa, granddaughters Leanne Smokowich (Rob) of Sault Ste. Marie and Kelly Lemieux (Martin) of Kapuskasing, great grandson Tyler Smokowich, and great granddaughters Hailey Smokowich and Emma Lemieux, son-in-law Doug Luffman of Kapuskasing. Brother-in-Law to Donald Young (Barbara). Uncle to Heather Hart, David Young and Lisa Mumby.

Bill lived on a farm in Birtle, Manitoba as an infant. He then moved to Toronto when he was around 3 years old, and later moved to Oshawa to work for GM, retiring from GM Product Engineering in 1993 after over 41 years of service.

He spent some vacation time in Hawaii, Florida and Myrtle Beach but always loved to spend as much time at the family cottage, that he built, as he could. He enjoyed golfing in his retirement and was very proud to get his first hole in one at 80 years of age.

A special thank you to all the staff at Hillsdale Estates, Apple Blossom Unit, for their care and compassion over the last three months.

A private family service will be held in Whitby.

If desired, donations may be made to a  CHARITY of your choice.
