GREAVES, George - George Greaves passed peacefully in his sleep at home on early New Year's Day, 2021 at 97 years of age.
Cherished husband of Kathleen (deceased), father, grandfather and great grandfather to Carol (Harold), Mike, Jesse (Rachel, Kaitlyn), Mark, Nick (Erin, Simon).
Larger than life in the classic sense, his absence will be felt more than words can express.
Born and raised in Leeds, England, after serving in the Second World War, he emigrated to Canada to raise his family. A skilled craftsman, he built the family cottage to enjoy nature. In his later years, his memory often returned to his childhood in Yorkshire.
His cheerful outlook and ready humour blessed all who knew him, and he kept it til the end.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any Cardiac charity of choice.
