ABERNETHY, Gerald 'Gerry' Bryan - (January 12, 1954 - December 24, 2020)
It is with broken hearts that Gerry passed away from lung cancer after a long fight with both lymphoma and lung cancer at home in the early hours of December 24, 2020.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Theresa (Terri) nee Dobbin, and his two daughters Shannon Hart (Tom) and Diana Valadao (Rui).
His grandchildren Evelyn, Benjamin, Rachel Hart and Hudson, Landyn and Deacon Valadao will miss the wonderful times they had with him at home and at the cottage.
At Gerry’s request, he wanted to be cremated. At some time in the future we will hold a Celebration of Life for Gerry, in a happier and safer time.
As Gerry suffered from both lymphoma and lung cancer, please forward Donations instead of flowers to these charities to help in finding a cure for these terrible diseases.
Thank you to all involved in his care this past year at Durham Region Cancer Centre.
