Man at outdoor concert holding a soda can.Bertram Harold "Bert" Golding
May 21, 1955 - October 21, 2024

Bert Golding packed his bags for his final "Goldwall Adventure to the Great Gig in the Sky" on the morning of Monday, October 21, 2024. He joins the love of his life, Trish Golding, and leaves behind his cherished son, Brado, and daughter-in-law, Shelby Cornwall.

Bert is remembered by his brother-in-law Shawn Dahmer, and close friends and "brothers-in-life," Rick Wagner and Kevin Stortz. He will be missed by his nieces Mary and Laura, nephew Michael, and cousins John, Bill, and Noreen. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Velina Golding.

His friends, who shared his deep love of music, feel the loss of a unique soul who brightened every gathering. Bert valued his caregivers, especially his PSW Jacob, for their unwavering support. Growing up in Toronto, Bert was an award-winning speed skater, a passion his father encouraged during many rink visits. He later moved to Elmira, where he met Patricia, with whom he built a family, planted roots, and created countless memories.

Bert had a zest for life, history, trains, photography, and a love for music and baseball. Known for his vibrant sense of style, Bert delighted in expanding his wardrobe and spinning vinyl from his extensive collection, especially his favorite blues records. He twice journeyed to the Crossroads in Mississippi, celebrating his love for blues music.
