Anne Burr was the beloved wife of Robert Burr for 38 years.

Anne will be remembered and dearly missed by her friends Nora Barber, Trix Aebersold and Darlene Hill.

Anne, along with her husband Robert were the founders of the Upper Credit Humane Society and the Burr Foundation. Anne was very proud to have received the Queens Diamond Jubilee medal for her work with animals.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Connie Buck, daughter Rheanna Bibby, sister Laurie Sanci, step-sister Nadine Artemis and step-brother John Lehmann.  He is predeceased by his beloved daughter Olivia Bibby and brother Peter Sanci.

COLQUHOUN, Robert 'Roy' - (1942 - 2019) - Passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2019.

Born in Kirkconnel, Scotland, Roy emigrated to Canada to pursue his career in nuclear engineering, with a focus on safety systems, first in Montreal and then Toronto.

Roy’s links to Scotland were evident in his love of Robert Burns poetry and rugby (playing for U of Aberdeen, Montreal Wanderers & Toronto Scottish). Roy also enjoyed volunteering as a Scout leader, travelling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mahon BrendenMAHON, Brenden - Brenden Mahon, son of the late Brenden and Heather (nee Lindsay) Mahon, born on October 16, 1977 passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 14, 2019 at the Joseph Brant Hospital.

He is survived by his son Owen and his mother Jennifer, his siblings Kevin, Melissa, and Fiona, and his nieces and nephews Taylor, Landon, Carter, Lawson, JJ and James.

Having battled cancer at such a young age, Brenden devoted his life to helping children and teens overcome adversity as a Child and Youth Counsellor. The impact he had on the lives of those he helped can never be measured. He faced the many challenges in his life with perseverance, strength, dignity and a fantastic sense of humour.

Cormier DoreenCORMIER, Doreen Vera (Bourne) - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doreen Cormier announces her death on Thanksgiving Monday October 14, 2019, at Guelph General Hospital. Doreen passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 88 years old.

Doreen was born in Toronto July 24, 1931 to the late Monica (1973) (nee Brown) and Harry Bourne (1963). She was a beloved sister to many siblings and spent her career as a Registered Nurse’s Assistant at Toronto Western Hospital.

Doreen was a woman of faith and had a strong sense of determination and social justice. She was known for her generosity and loved her family well.  Doreen enjoyed knitting, travelling the world and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Aubrey Cormier (2002) after 51 years of marriage.

Peter passed away peacefully on October 12, 2019 at his home in Mississauga, Ontario, with his wife and his sister-in-law Sandi Walker present.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Diane, daughter Emily, son-in-law Gerard Freeman, son James, brother-in-law Roger Walker, as well as his large extended family in Canada and the UK.

Hays BonnieHAYS, Bonnie Ardith - (1945 - 2019) - Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully as she slept at home on October 12, 2019.

Bonnie was born in Edmonton but spent her formative years in Ontario where she was educated at the Bishop Strachan School for girls. After graduation, Bonnie continued her education out west at Mount Royal College in Calgary where she achieved a diploma in Social Work. Bonnie also attended Sir George William (Concordia) University prior to embarking on her career as a social worker.

After four years, Bonnie transitioned into a career in real estate where she became the president of the Oakville Milton Real Estate Board. She also established her catering business where she served her famous, “Beef on a Bun.”

Kotsakis AfrothiteKOTSAKIS, Afrothite - (September 7, 1974 - October 11, 2019) -

Afrothite Kotsakis left us on October 11, 2019. She was born September 7, 1974, and grew up in Ancaster, Ontario. 

Afrothite was a respected paediatrician who specialized in intensive care at the Hospital for Sick Children, following training at McMaster Medical School (class of 1999), and the University of Toronto.

Afrothite touched so many lives through her skill, but especially with her compassion.
