DEVITT, Anna - Passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital on Monday December 2, 2019 at the age of 70.

Beloved sister of John and Beverley Feenstra, Stella and Bill Lekx, Teena Feenstra, Hans and Elaine Feenstra, and Stan and Mary Feenstra.

Annie will be missed by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Milton Hospital and Oakville Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Ann’s friends and her neighbours on Clover Park Cres for their support during this difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKersie-Kocher funeral home, 144 Main St. E. Milton on Sunday December 8th at 4:00pm. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 pm with a reception to follow. Please bring your special memories of Annie to share with us.

STAVNITZKY, George EmilPeacefully at the Village of Tansley Woods on Sunday, December 1, 2019 just short of his 90th Birthday.

Survived by his loving wife Therese Stavnitzky and son Larry Stavnitzky as well as brothers Adolph and Ernest.

Predeceased by his parents George and Susanna and brothers John and Béla.

George will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Repchull MichaelREPCHULL, Michael Frederick - (December 11, 1963 - November 30, 2019) -

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael at Hamilton General Hospital on November 30, 2019.

He fought so hard right to the end, but is finally at peace and free of pain.

Michael was the much-loved husband of Jane and cherished father of Cole, Hayden and Josh (Samantha). Michael was adored by his parents, Diana and Rick Gaiger, his sister, Laurie, niece Haley and nephew Jesse (Katie).

He will also be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Sara, brother-in-law Simon (Linda), grandchildren Olivia and Connor, cousins Jennifer (Gerhard), Kathy (Mark), Matt, Kevin and Olivia and his godmother Sherry Mitchell (Bob).

Predeceased by his father Nick Repchull, grandparents Enid and Nick Repchull Sr., and Lauretta and Fred Goodman.

Michael’s death has left a huge void in our family. He was the life of every party and the centre of our world. To know him was to love him. His irresistable charm, his quick wit and his wild antics have kept us laughing for 55 years. He was the consummate storyteller, and even at his lowest point, he never lost his sense of humour.

The family would like to thank the dedicated ICU nursing staff at Hamilton General, especially Kristin, who took such good care of Mike as he left this world.

Cremation has taken place. Join us as we celebrate Mike’s life at the Polish Hall, 2316 Fairview Street, Burlington, Ontario on Monday, December 9th from Noon to 3 p.m.

In Mike’s memory, donations to Autism Ontario would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements with Smith's funeral homes, Burlington.

Massa MarkMASSA, Mark - It’s with broken hearts and immense sadness that our family announces the passing of Mark, our husband, father, son, brother and friend at the age of 45.

Surrounded by love, Mark passed peacefully on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 after a hard fought and valiant battle, with his wife, beautiful children and family by his side.

Forever remembered by his partner in crime, wife and best friend, Tina (Mota). Mark was the greatest father and will always be a strong role model to his children, Matteo and Caleigh.

Adored and treasured son to John and Anne (Barroso). He was the eldest sibling and big brother to Sarah (Brian Barry) and Philip.

Cherished son-in-law to Joe and Teresa Mota. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Priscilla and Melissa (Joe Grieci). He was the greatest uncle to Arianna, Tristan and Jackson.

A friend of many, Mark will also be remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and extended family and friends. His passion for cars, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills lives on.

A role model for all, Mark faced his battle head on. His determination often meant he put his family ahead of his battle – a true testament to his strength and willpower. A spokesperson for his illness and fight, Mark’s encouraging words and wisdom stand to encourage others to fight hard and press ahead despite the challenge.

Family and friends will be received at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON on Wednesday, December 4th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Vigil Prayers in honour of Mark will be offered at 3:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on Thursday, December 5th at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.

Our family wishes to thank the caring professionals at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.

Morton JoyceMORTON, Joyce Willow (nee Connor) - Passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the company of family, in her 84th year.

Predeceased by her husband Jim and grandson Michael. Loving mother of Ron (Lisa), Donna (Bill) Parker, Doug (Laura) and Rob (Michelle).

Grandmother to 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Sister of Clifford and the late Edward Connor.

The family will receive visitors at J. Scott Early funeral home, Milton on Tuesday December 3rd from 7 - 9 p.m.  A funeral service celebrating her life will take place there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with interment at Evergreen Cemetery to follow.

It is with great sadness that the family of Jacoba (Jackie) Hulsman announces her passing at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday November 29, 2019 in her 91st year.

Jackie will be remembered by her children William (Louann), Paul (Carol), Caroline (Frank Mallany), Robert (Mary). 

Loving Oma of Katie (Adam Ives), Stephen (Stacey), David, Rebecca, Olivia, Ryan, Graham, Cassidy, Tara and Tasha. Great Oma to Nathan, Landon, Jaxen, Tessa, Oliver and Lily. She will also be missed by extended family in the Netherlands.

Jackie was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas; and sons Wilbur and Bernard.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Join us for a funeral mass, 10 am on Thursday December 5th at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Interment to follow.

Pentland EdwardPENTLAND, Edward 'Bud' - Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on November 29, 2019 in his 95th year.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret, sons Stephen (Elizabeth) and Michael (Francis), grandchildren Stephen Jr. and Sarah, and siblings Lois, James and Myrna.

 

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Reverend John Aberhardt, as well as the wonderful nursing staff at Joseph Brant Hospital whom Edward referred to as "angels"; especially nurse Ashley, who held Edward's hand as he entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour.
