Gazzola LinoGAZZOLA, Lino Pio - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lino Gazzola on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in his 84th year with his wife, Rosy, and daughter, Mara, by his side.

Beloved husband of Rosy for 56 years. Loving father of Fabio (Sonia), Fausta (Sean) and Mara (Mike). Proud nonno of Alessandro, Marco, Christiano, Christopher, Isabella and Marlena.

Predeceased by his parents and his brother Nando.

Born in Valla di Riese Pio X, Treviso, Italy, Lino immigrated to Canada in 1960 seeking a better life for his future family. He married Rosy in 1962 and went on to work as a master carpenter in residential construction all over Ontario for the next 40 years.

Lino was a tireless worker. Known for his unwavering work ethic, dedication, knowledge of construction, loyalty and ability to get the job done. Lino was always in demand in his chosen trade. He was busy and never without work. He was the individual chosen where a job well done mattered.

In his personal life Lino was a dedicated family man. A man's man. Together with Rosy he had 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He taught by example and inspired his children to work hard and persevere.

Lino retired with his wife, Rosy, to a life filled with the love, enjoyment and hope in the future that only grandchildren could provide (and a lot of Italian style gardening and home improvements on the side). His 6 grandchildren were the light of his life.

Lino will forever be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and many close friends.

Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville on Friday, November 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Glen Oaks funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 10th at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery.
