Hallmark LeslieHALLMARK, Leslie Charles - It is with great sadness that the family of Leslie Charles Hallmark announces his passing on Thursday June 13, 2019 after reaching the age of 80 years old.

After months of failing health, he died peacefully in his sleep, with the love and support of his beloved wife, Dianne and his family surrounding him.

He was born in 1939, in Coventry, England to Edith and John Hallmark. Leslie was from a large family of 9 children. Survived by his beloved sister Margaret Lerigo and predeceased by his sisters, Edith and Betty and his brothers, Jack, Ron, Barry, Tom and Derek.

Leslie will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Dianne and his children, Lorraine (Joe), Kevin (Jen), Steven (Kim) and Craig (Amy).

Leslie will also be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren and his four great grandchildren, Heather, Sarah, Steven, Matthew, Michael, Michelle, Amanda, Gavin, Keith, Riley, Cody, Zachary, Logan and Laiya.

Leslie was a maintenance millwright by trade; a hard working, honest, loyal man to a fault. The traits he instilled into all his children and grandchildren will live on with them.

Leslie will be remembered as a pillar of strength and love to all who knew him. A man who would give his shirt to anyone in need. Truly selfless to his last breath, always with a smile on his face and joke on his lips.

He was our MacGyver, our Mr. Fix it. Whether he was renovating a home, hanging a light or fixing a broken toy for his grandchild, he always made the little things a priority. Every morning, without fail, he would make Dianne her Weetabix and coffee for breakfast and never missed her bringing him his ginger cookies and warm milk before bed. He found great joy in rooting for his favourite sport teams and would never miss an opportunity to place a friendly wager on anything he could think of. He was truly content in his life and loved his family with all his being.

He was everything to this family and will be truly missed, but not forgotten.

Grandpa, “Take Care, Mind how you go."
Written with love by: Heather Anderson, Leslie's Oldest Grandchild.
