HENDREN, John Marshall - Peacefully at the Brant Centre on Sunday June 16, 2019. John, in his 96th year.

Loving father of Scott Hendren and Paula Durocher. Dear brother of Marilyn Adams, Gordon Hendren and Audrey Roberts.

John was born in Toronto, Ontario, on December 6, 1923. Following discharge from the Canadian Army after WW II, John moved to Montreal where he became very involved in the business community through the Montreal Board of Trade.

He enjoyed helping small businesses gain access to markets by leading trade missions to Europe. He worked in specialised window and door manufacturing for the transportation sector, and had the opportunity to open his own very successful company at the age of 66. He patented a specific window design which is still in worldwide use today.

John was a great supporter of Kiwanis, and the Small Business Development Corporation.

John will be remembered for his sharp business mind, combined with a very easy going manner. He was extremely hard working, and never backed down from a challenge. His charming wit endeared him to the many people he met throughout his life.

Many thanks to the staff of Joseph Brant Hospital, the Able Living Centre in Binbrook, ON, and the Brant Centre for the kind and gentle care they gave to John.

Cremation will take place. A Private Family Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Dodsworth & Brown funeral home, Burlington.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation.
