LAI, Agnes Kwok - On Saturday, August 10, 2019, Agnes Kwok, loving wife and mother, peacefully passed away at the age of 71 after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Agnes leaves behind a family that absolutely loves her; her husband Francis, her three sons Raymond, Conrad and Alfred.
Agnes was blessed to have 6 beautiful grandsons (Connor, Mason and Nathan) and granddaughters (Samantha, Kristen and Natania) who she completely adored and who thought the world of her.
Agnes was born on December 16, 1947 in Hong Kong, and moved to Canada with her family in 1989.
Agnes’ greatest passion was her family, and she often reminded us how much she loved all of us. Agnes’ other great passion was her love of Chinese style music including singing Chinese opera, playing Guqin and Erhu.
Anyone who knew Agnes would comment on her kindness, her warm heart, her beautiful smile and her faith in the Lord. She was the kind of woman who would help anyone, the kind of person who never overlooked showing her appreciation for those around her and who always had the truest intentions. Even in her final days she continued to carry herself with such grace and poise, never forgetting to thank people for the care they were giving her.
We are so proud of how she fought through this journey over these past months. She stayed strong, brave and positive – just the way she lived her life. Agnes leaves behind a legacy of love for family and friendship. She will always be in our hearts and will lovingly be remembered by her family and her friends.
It is Agnes' wish that you make a donation to her church for the church building fund in lieu of flowers/gifts. All donations will be made to West Toronto Christian Community Church.
