LINK, Isabella “Anne” Link, B.A., A.R.C.T.  -

November 4, 1938 - January 21, 2024

It’s with great sadness that the Link family announces the passing of Anne Link.

Born November 4th, 1938, Anne passed away peacefully the evening of January 21, 2024, after a short illness.

Anne is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Ronald William Link, her three children Catherine (Bill), Christine (Daniel), and Geoffrey, her two beautiful grandchildren Emily and Joshua and her faithful canine companion Angus. Anne was the older sister to her brothers Donald Cameron (deceased) and George Cameron (deceased).

Anne was born in Ottawa to Beulah Cameron and Claude Cameron.

She attended Carleton University and acquired her Bachelor of Arts in 1961. She taught high school English in Kemptville where she met Ron.

Anne and Ron started their family in Ottawa and subsequently moved to Beaverton, ON in the early 70’s. Anne continued her love of teaching as a substitute teacher at Brock High School. Sometimes even filling in for Ron!

Raising her family in Beaverton, Anne afforded us the benefits of a smaller community while also taking us on many trips to enjoy the arts and other cultural opportunities of the ‘big city’.

Anne was a compassionate advocate for mental health and treating others with dignity. Spending many years caring for her husband Ron both at home and at his long-term care home, she worked closely with Ron and the staff to adapt to his needs and ensure his best quality of life.

A quote from a good friend of mom’s sums her up: “…I wish I’d met your mom sooner in my life.” We’re the lucky ones as we have known her our whole lives!

Her family is appreciative of the outpouring of support from Anne’s many friends and family. The diverse nature of Anne’s friends is a testament to her ability to connect with everyone. Thank you.

Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Saturday, February 17th from 1P.M until time of memorial service at 2P.M. Reception to follow.

If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Anne, to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
