JURIMAE, Jaak –  P.ENG P.E. FCSCE,  –

March 4, 1947 – January 6, 2024

With great sadness we announce the passing of Jaak Jurimae.

Loving husband to the late Janine Jurimae.

Father and dearest friend to his son, Kristjan.

Born in Germany, he came to Canada with his family in 1952.

Married his beloved wife, Janine Loos, on August 7, 1971.

An accomplished and celebrated structural engineer, Jaak worked on high rise and tower crane erection projects all over North America.

He was named a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers in 2002.

A completely selfless and loving individual, he volunteered his time as a driver for the Canadian Cancer Society after the passing of his wife.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Kristjan; his brothers: Tom, Matti and Peter; and sister, Angie; his brother and sister-in-law, Jan and Bev Loos.
