SHIMANO, Jack Akira - Tragically in a house fire, Jack passed away at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, on Friday, October 5, 2018 in his 78th year.
Eldest son of Keishiro and Kiyoko Shimano, both predeceased.
Predeceased by sister Sharon and brother Kenny.
Brother of David (Marion Bordier) of Concarneau, France; Gerry (and the late Jeanette); and Gord. Uncle of Scott. Cremation has already taken place.
An informal Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Novermber 11, 2018 between 4-8 p.m. at the Toronto Buddhist Church, 1011 Sheppard Ave. West, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations are much appreciated in care of: Oakville Hospital Foundation; SickKids Foundation; The Terry Fox Foundation; Foodpath Food Bank.
Deep appreciation to the firefighters of Station 7, Mississauga Fire Department and the officers of Division 11 Peel Regional Police who responded and have assisted the family greatly.
