November 29, 1955 - January 24, 2024

 

Born in Toronto in 1955 to proud parents, Harold and Ruth Kennedy.

 

Lorraine passed peacefully at home in Unionville, on January 24, 2024. Lorraine was dearly loved by her lifelong partner and husband, Mike; loving mother to Ryan and Katelyn (Justin); and grandma to Julia, Tyler and Charlotte.

 

Lorraine was sister to brothers, Gord (Deb), Don (Linda); brothers-in-law, Dan (Shirley), Terry (Bonnie) and John; as well as loving aunt to Kara, Whitney, Aurora, Tara, Shelley, Kristie, Sean and Evan.

 

Lorraine also leaves cousins, Mardelle and Bonnie Lorraine completed her grade school at Bessborough Public School, on to Leaside High School, and completed the last two years of high school at John A Macdonald Collegiate Institute.

 

Lorraine went to France for 1st year university at Grenoble University, and returned to Toronto to attend Glendon College at York University.

 

Lorraine built a highly successful career in banking, managing branches, private banking centres, and helping lead the build out of the Financial Planning businesses. She spent time as a Board Member of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.

 

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at St. Justin Martyr Church, 3898 Hwy. 7 East, Unionville. All family and friends are welcome to the family's house following her Memorial Mass, to celebrate Lorraine's life, with lunch and a beverage, at 166 Carlton Road, Unionvill.
