HIGGINS, Jesse Adam Higgins - Born September 29, 2000 in the early morning at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
He was welcomed by his Dad, Dwight and his exhausted Mom Laurie.
He soon was then presented to his big sister Jenna Lynn and his big brother Joshua. Who knew 17 months later he would be a big brother to a little brother, Jake.
On May 31th, 2022 Jesse took his last breath at home, in his bed where he wanted to be.
After a short and fruitless battle with Osteosarcoma, Jesse passed away due to many complications that arise with having such a terrible disease.
Jesse was such a kind soul. He did not want anyone to worry about him and never complained.
He went 343 days fighting to beat the odds and even in his last days when he struggled to breath he reassured all his loved ones how much he loved them.
The day he died he requested a treat...a nice cold rootbeer.
So on June 11th, 2022 we will be celebrating this sweet boy with a Celebration of Life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. that includes some of his favourite foods and a cold rootbeer.
Arrangements with Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
