Passed away peacefully, at home, with her loving husband, Sykes, of 65 years by her side.

 

Shirley will be missed dearly by her brother-in-law, Briggs. Predeceased by her parents, Olive and George.

 

Adored sister of the late Patricia (the late William), the late Gordon, the late John (Shirley) and the late Bruce (Shirley).

Shirley will be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

 

Shirley was a 35-year employee of Bell Canada, where she developed and nurtured many professional and lifelong friendships.

 

Shirley's charitable work was significant at the Dorothy Ley Hospice, Etobicoke, where for many years she volunteered endless hours in extending compassionate care to the lives of many families.

 

Funeral Service will be held at St. George's on-the-Hill Anglican Church, 4600 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. George's on-the-Hill Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Dorothy Ley Hospice.
