HUGHES, John “Bucky” - (Longtime employee of the Municipality of Clarington)

Peacefully passed away in his sleep at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in his 71st year.

John, beloved husband of Louise (Clancy). Loving father of Ryan and Julie; Adam and Dawn. Dear grandfather of Emma, Abby, Zachiery, Tieson, Jonathan, Nathaniel and Kristopher.

Loved brother of Dennis (Jean), Bryan (the late Elaine), Brent (Sandy) and Eileen. Brother-in-law of Carol (Francis) Smith.

Predeceased by his parents Josephine and Harry Hughes and his siblings Doug (Vi), Pauleen (Bryan) and mother-in-law Elizabeth Clancy “The Freezer Queen." Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, on Tuesday, September 5th from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 6th at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.

Donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre – Cancer Care would be gratefully appreciated.
