MASTROMATTEO, John Anthony   -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, in his 81st year.

John passed away in Ottawa, on June 30, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anne Marie (nee DeClercq).

Loving father of Denise (Kirk), Marcus (Crystal) and his 7 beautiful grandchildren.

Predeceased by his youngest daughter, Eleana.

John served as an educator for over 35 years, both as a retired principal from the Toronto Catholic School Board and as a trustee for Dufferin Peel.

He loved sports, especially the New York Rangers and enjoyed many events at Woodbine Racetrack.

Visitations will be held at the Heritage Funeral Complex on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow.
