ALLEN, Kaireen Ferguson - It is with great sadness that the family of Kaireen Allen announces her passing at North York General Hospital on December 2, 2023, in her 93rd year.
Kaireen will be remembered for her unwavering love of her children and grandchildren, and her ability to show warmth and tease you in the same breath.
The impact she had on those who loved her cannot be overstated, and she was a second mother to many. Always ahead of her time and willing to adapt with each passing decade, Kaireen was accepting of all people and willing to learn and grow.
Beloved wife of Dr. Donald L. Allen (1931-2012). Loving mother of Brian (Nancy), Heather (Dean), Wendy (Dave), and Kimberly (Geoff). Adored grandmother of Emily (Jeff), Griffin (Katie), Exy, Sawyer, Hazel, Olivia, Siena, Nikolai, and Madison. Sister of Nora Ramsey of Montreal, and William Guest of Vancouver.
Kaireen was born in Arnprior, Ontario. She attended Mount Allison University, graduated from Nursing at Montreal General and later completed a BA at York University.
Kaireen worked as a Registered Nurse for several years before stepping away to raise her four children. Cremation and private interment for the family will take place this month. A celebration of Kaireen's life will take place in the new year, to be announced at a later date.
