Colyer KimbellCOLYER, Kimbell Julie (MILLER)   - Passed into eternal glory on December 24, 2020 while residing at Amica Peel Village Home in Brampton, Ontario.

Kimbell (Kim) was born in 1926 to Joseph and Ester (Litke) Miller of Stony Plain, Alberta.

Kim was married for forty-eight years to her loving husband Kenneth Colyer until his passing in December 1999.

Kim was predeceased by her beloved brother Private Melville Miller of the Canadian Scottish Regiment, killed in action during WWII in the Battle of Leopold Canal in Bruge, Belgium.

Kim was recruited from Edmonton to work during WWII at the Defence Industries Limited bomb making factory in Ajax, Ontario where she worked on the Pellet and Tracer Line and Number 4 Stores.

She and women who served during WWII were honoured for their service during a monument unveiling at Pat Bayly Square, in Ajax. Kim later worked for Blacks Camera directly for Eddy Black where she met her future husband Ken. Ken and Kim later opened their own electronics and HVAC business in Toronto called Colyer McKee and upon retiring began a new business, Brampton Self Storage.

Kim was known for her sense of humour and especially her love of cats. She will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, her caregivers and friends Maria Costa, Mike Holloway, Inez Buote Allan, Stacey Redl and Jean Hicks of Brampton.

Many thanks to the devoted staff of the Brampton Civic Hospital for their care.

Special thanks to Amica Peel Village Brampton for their professional, loving and devoted care.

Kim's cremation has taken place and she will be interned at a later date.
