Rose Marie Kopschinsky

June 7, 1940 - January 5, 2025

In Loving Memory.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Rose Kopschinsky, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us on January 5, 2025, at the age of 84. Rose’s passing will leave an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew her, and her kind-hearted spirit will be deeply missed.

Rose was born on June 7, 1940, in Port Colborne, Ontario, to Maria and Pantelimon Parvu. From a young age, Rose was known for her warmth, compassion, and deep empathy for others. Whether she was volunteering at the Ajax Pickering Hospital, out on lunch dates with friends, or cooking some of her favorite recipes for her family, Rose’s generosity knew no bounds.

She was the devoted mother of Dana and Jason, and the cherished “Grammy” to Paige and Taylor and “Little Grandma” to Ethan and Dylan. Together with her husband Wally, she treasured time spent with family, whether in Ajax with Jay and Jen or on extended stays in Vancouver with Dana and Cory. Over the last year, Rose traveled to Alaska and the Grand Cayman, embracing new experiences and creating lasting memories.

Rose is survived by her husband Wally; her children, Dana (Cory) and Jason (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Paige, Ethan, Taylor, and Dylan; her brother Virgil (Florence) and sister Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Her nurturing spirit extended to all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving behind a network of people touched by her kindness.

A visitation for Rose will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax, followed by a service at 2:00 PM. An onsite reception will follow.

Donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation or the SickKids Foundation, both causes close to Rose’s heart. Though she is no longer with us, Rose’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her. She was a bright light in this world, and while she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. May she rest in peace.
