LINARD, Eleanor Ruth -
January 30, 1928 - June 8, 2024
Peacefully, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, after a brief illness.
Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Victor St. Cyr Linard; father, Sydney George Howe; and mother, Eleanor Florence Howe (née Stubbington).
Ruth is survived by her loving son, John "Jack" Linard; and will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Taylor.
A native of Toronto, Ruth moved to Ottawa in 2017 to be closer to family. Ruth loved travelling, socializing, restaurants and shopping; she was most proud of her stuffed bear collection.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the personal support workers on the Bayshore Home Healthcare team, and the staff at the Acute Monitoring Area of the Civic Hospital.
As per Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be interred with her husband at a later date.
