It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the peaceful passing of David Brian Lloyd on Sunday, April 20th, 2025.
Beloved husband of Lydia (nee Szuszwal) for 55 wonderful years, David was a devoted father to David Jr. and his wife Anita, Bradley and his wife Rachael, and Lindsey and her husband Nick. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Mitchel and his fiancรฉ Amber, Mathew and his girlfriend Jamie, Meghan, Jonathan, and Mia, and adored great-grandfather to Nelly. David was a cherished brother-in-law to George and the late Kathy and will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends.
David had a long and proud career in the plumbing industry, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. David held progressive roles within Emco and Moen Inc., including Sr. Territory Manager and National Sales Manager, where he made a lasting impact across Canada. The dedication and professionalism he showed throughout his career made him respected and well liked.
Outside of work, David lived life to the fullest. A passionate boater, his pride and joy was spending time on the water with his family aboard their favourite boat, The Shady Lady. He loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. He was always up for a casino trip, particularly to Casino Rama.
He was a lifelong and loyal supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Oshawa Generals, where he enjoyed season tickets for many years.
At the center of it all was Davidโs family. His love for them was unwavering, he would do anything for those he loved, and made every gathering special with his presence, warmth, and wit.
Davidโs memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will never be forgotten.
