Alva Zilna MacFarlane
October 13, 1922 - March 3, 2025
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Southlake Residential Care Village in Newmarket at age 102. Beloved wife of the late Louis Franklin MacFarlane. Dear mother of Cheryl Louise Borthwick of Scarborough and Alva Judith Lynne Cook (Timothy Cook) of Mobile, Alabama, USA. Cherished grandmother of Krystal Marie Stringfellow (William Stringfellow) in Mobile, Alabama.
Alva was the sister of the late Milda Cole (Ben Cole) and the late Arvin Sorge (Irma Sorge). She is survived by beloved nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends and relatives at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, ON, on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Duffin Meadows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southlake Residential Care Village, 4 West in Newmarket, Ontario.
