IACAMPO, Maria - With profound sadness our family announces the passing of Maria Iacampo. Surrounded by her loving family and the angels, Maria was called to God's loving embrace on October 11, 2018.
Wife of Bernardino (Benny), mother to Carla (Stefano) and Marco (Sandra).
Loving Nonna to Alessio and Giuliana.
Sister to Lucia, sister-in-law to Corradino Quaciari, and Michele and Maria Colandrea. Zia to Antonietta (Luigi), Carlo and Luciano (Candi).
Born to Virginio and Giovanna Centofanti, Maria was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY by her parents Virginio and Giovanna Centofanti. She later married and moved to Toronto where she raised her family, worked tirelessly with the TCDSB and lived in her faith. She will be remembered for her community work, sense of humour and love of life.
Maria will be eternally remembered by her family, her close friends and neighbours who mourn in her untimely passing. She would want to be remembered for how she loved her life.
Her love of her family and friends gave her the courage to persevere during her most darkest hours. Her family is relieved to know she is at peace following a very difficult two years. Thank you to all who called and visited during this difficult period. Your love and concern gave her strength. She would not want to be remembered for how she passed but how she lived her life.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral H ome, Toronto on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Wilfrid's Roman Catholic Church, 1675 Finch Ave. Toronto on Monday, October 15th, 2018 9:30am. Interment at Concord.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
