March 24, 1927 – March 2, 2024

 

Peacefully, at the Kensington Residence Oakville on March 2, 2024, in her 97th year.

 

Mary Stephenson (nee Smith) was the wife of the late Jack Stephenson.

 

The couple met while working at DuPont Canada and lived in Kingston, Ontario, and St. Bruno de Montarville, Quebec (20 years), before

moving to Oakville.

 

Mary was a devoted mother to her three sons: Peter and his wife, Melissa; Tom; Paul and his wife, Karmen. She was a proud grandmother of her only grandchild, Macayla.

 

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Fred B. Smith and Elizabeth McCann; and her six sisters: Evelyn (Richard) Thompson, Catherine Smith, Elizabeth (Alexander) MacLean, Ann Donaldson, Ruth Smith, and Alicia (Robert) Londry.

 

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews from the Londry, Giles, and Stephenson families.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville, at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16th, with a Reception to follow.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael's Parish (Oakville) or the Daily TV Mass.
