McKNIGHT, Sharon Frances McKnight   -  Passed peacefully, at home in the early hours of June 3, 2024.

Sharon was born on July 21, 1936, the eldest daughter of Charles E. V. McKnight and Helen Garver McKnight, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

She grew up in Ottawa, attending Lisgar Collegiate and Carleton College before coming to Toronto and working in systems engineering.

She was one of Bell's earliest computer programmers and became a manager. Retiring early, she devoted much time to her aging mother and to travel.

As well, her attention to condominium details as a board member and officer was noteworthy. She was predeceased by her parents, and is survived by her sisters, Helen Jean McKnight Smith and Linda Elizabeth McKnight, nephew Chuck Smith (Wendy), niece Danielle Smith (Johann), and great-nephews Zachary Kiser and Captain Trevor Smith (Kara) and children, and great-niece Emily Smith.

A private visitation will take place. Following cremation, Sharon was interred at St. James Cemetery, Toronto
