McNEILL, Elizabeth McGowan McNeill  –
1939 – 2024
Elizabeth McGowan McNeill (nee Mitchell) was born in Greenock, Scotland on May 7, 1939, to the late
Archibald and Elizabeth (McGowan) Mitchell.

Died on July 29, 2024, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario in her 85th year.

Betty loved to sew, knit, oil paint and spending time with her family and friends.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Daniel. Betty is survived by her daughter Lorna (Mike), granddaughters Meaghan (Kevin) and Rachel (Colton) and sister-in-law Margaret McNeill.

Betty’s family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care floor at St. Michael’s hospital for making
her final hours peaceful.

Betty will be greatly missed by her friends and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held for
family and friends Fall of 2024.
