GRANT, Melvin “Mel” – 

1934 – 2023

Melvin Grant, known to friends as “Mel,” passed away on October 11, 2023, at Credit Valley Hospital at the age of 89 years.

He was a cherished husband to Marjorie for over 63 loving years.

He was a devoted father to Sandra, Karen and Donna (Colin), and a proud grandfather to Stormy and Sydni.

He is survived by his dear sister Crosby Nurse, nephew David, niece Jill Brown; brother Walter (Pat), nephew Wally, niece Charmaine; numerous cousins; and sister-in-law Joyce Thompson.

He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Llewelle Grant, sister Olga Brown and brother Whitfield (Loretta).

Friends may call at Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 719 Dundas Street East, Mississauga. Mel’s celebration of life reception will follow.
