Sandell MurnaSANDELL, Myrna Ann  -  It is with deep sadness and much love that the family of Myrna Sandell announces her peaceful passing, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 90.

She is now in the arms of her beloved husband of 63 years, Ed (2017).

Myrna was the loving mother of Mark (Lori) and Jeremy (Pippa); and proud nana of Owen, Sam (Emily) and Jake.

Born on Prince Edward Island on August 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (nee Mill) Garnhum.

Although Myrna moved from the Island to Toronto in 1940, she remained close to her Islander family throughout their lives. In 1951, Myrna met Ed while working at a Toronto FW Woolworth store, and so their adventure began.

As an only child, Myrna embraced Ed's fun-loving Collingwood family, having many fond memories of their time at the cottage and farm. They were married on June 19, 1954, and as Ed's career progressed with Woolworth's, they lived in Toronto, Windsor, Vancouver, Richmond Hill and Montreal, before settling in Mississauga in the late 1960s.

She was an avid bridge player and creator of beautiful knitted designs. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the team at the PeopleCare Community in Meaford for their care and compassion. 'GSTQ.'

At Myrna's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of Myrna's life will take place at a later date.

As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce would be appreciated.
