VAN VLIET, Nicholas - Died peacefully at age 85 on August 29, 2017 surrounded by family.
He was a successful Landscape Architect who travelled the world.
He loved nature walks, bird watching, time in Udora and writing fiction.
He will be greatly missed by his children Astrid, Ingrid, Kim, Sepp, Helena, his grandchildren Erik, Emily, Ruby, Grey, Boreal, Demeter, Alix, Kayll, Lyza, Santana, Randi, his brother Jan and family and his great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by grandchildren Edward, Kelly and Pieter and his wife of 40 years, Salme.
There will be a drop-in memorial/reception at the Cedar Club at Udora: 10064 Old Shiloh Rd., Pefferlaw, ON L0E 1N0, from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2017.
Donations in Nicholas' memory can be made to World Wildlife Fund Canada or the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
