David Charles Ninnim
July 11, 1959 – March 6, 2025
David Charles Ninnim, 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Brechin, Ontario, on March 6, 2025.
Born on July 11, 1959, in Blackpool, England, Dave was the beloved son of Patricia and Peter Ninnim. At the age of three, he moved to Canada with his family, beginning a lifelong journey of love, generosity, and dedication to those around him.
Dave is survived by his children: David Ninnim (Nancy), Tiffany Ninnim (Steven Melloni), Paul (PJ) Tyson (Sam Paterson), and Tyler Ninnim. He was a proud grandfather to Sarena and Devyn Ninnim, Kiera Main, Colton Short, Athena and Conner Tyson, and Lincoln Melloni. Dave will be deeply missed by his brothers, Peter and Phil Ninnim, and his sisters, Debbie Tresham and Elizabeth Ninnim. He was predeceased by his daughter Natasha Pedwell and his sister Patricia Van Rooyen.
A man of great kindness, Dave dedicated his life to providing for and caring for his children. No matter the circumstances, he always found a way to help those in need, often giving away his last dollar to support someone else. His selflessness was unmatched, and he instilled in those around him the true meaning of generosity.
Above all, Dave cherished being a grandfather. His face would light up with joy the moment he saw his grandchildren, a testament to the love and pride he held for them.
When he wasn’t working hard to support his family, Dave enjoyed sports and the great outdoors. He was an avid fan of hockey, baseball, and fishing on the lake, often teaching his family how to fish. His greatest sports passion, however, was for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Though he never got to see them win the Stanley Cup, he remained a devoted fan, holding onto the dream with unwavering hope.
Dave leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and joy. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to know him.
A public celebration of life will be held at the Brechin Legion at a date to be determined. Please contact the family for further details.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been set up in Dave’s name to assist the family during this time.
Dave’s love for his family and his devotion to others will never be forgotten.
