With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nanny, and Friend Madeleine Helen Nixon, who left this world on June 22, 2024, at the remarkable age of 97.
Surrounded by her loving family and the music that brought her joy, she embarked on her final journey, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
She was welcomed in Heaven by our loving Dad/Papa, Charles; her amazing, Grandson Ryan; her cherished Sister, Barb; Brother, Harold and Parents, Lottie and Harold Smith along with many other loved ones who miss her dearly.
Our Mother and Nanny was a vibrant and adventurous spirit who loved to dance and lived life to the fullest. Her spontaneous nature and zest for adventure inspired all who knew her to seize the day and make the most of every moment.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Garry, Debbie and Partner Scott, Donna, Chris, Erin, Dean and Partner Lise; her Grandchildren; Nancy, Chris and Partner Melanie, Jennifer and Partner Darron, Otto, Zak, Jon, Carly and Partner Aaron, Meaghan, and Caileigh; her Great-Grandchildren, Abby, Mathieson, Sky, Lyric, Harper, Lyla, Brodie, Jaylen, Malaya, William, and Grayson; and her great-great-Grandson, Callum. A celebration of Life for Madeleine will be held at Serena Gundy Park, (58 Rykert Crescent, North York), Picnic Area #1, on August 9, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
