BETTERIDGE, Juliet Mary Betteridge

It is with heavy hearts, but wonderful memories, that we announce the passing of Juliet Mary Betteridge (née Tolley) on January 18, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved mother to Jane (the late Rick Craddock), Ross (Deirdre), Sara (Niall), and Lisa (Rick), Juliet will forever be cherished as a loving Grammy to Ben, Adam (Emily), Emily, Jake, and Lukas, and as a devoted Great-Grammy to Nolan and Hudson.

Juliet was predeceased by her loving husband, Ivor Anthony Betteridge, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2009. She spent the past four years living at Viva Whitby Shores Retirement Community, where she made dear friends and was cared for by compassionate staff, for which her family is deeply grateful.

Juliet lived a full life, filled with laughter, love, and her sharp sense of humour. She taught her family the importance of being there for one another and the joy of “laughing until you cry.” In her honour, the family asks that you undertake a deliberate act of kindness, as Juliet valued kindness above all else.

A celebration of Juliet’s life is being planned for this spring.
