After a short battle of health complications, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Oliver, 41, on May 7th, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
David grew up in Grimsby, Ontario, and was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Ron and Deb; his sister Alissa (Kevin); his cherished niece and nephews, Laikyn, Logan, and Liam; and his pride and joy, his daughter Brooklyn—his greatest accomplishment and the center of his world.
David also leaves behind many loving friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family. He was a dedicated employee at Triple M Metals and spent his free time doing what he loved most—riding his side-by-side, four-wheeling, exploring the outdoors, and taking trips to Mattawa to visit his favourite aunt and uncle, Darlene and Jim.
He had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, especially driving his truck. David was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was often with sharp wit and humor. He preferred to be the quiet guy in the room, but his presence was always felt by everyone.
He had a huge heart and was known for his generosity—always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His love for those around him was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
