Dean’s family announces with great sorrow his passing at home on Tuesday, April 22, at the age of 66. Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon (nee Wallace). Devoted father of Tyler (Becky) and Braeden (Chantelle). Dean also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Clara, Blake, and Nolan.

Loving son of the late G. Joyce Abraham and son-in-law of the late Marion and Donald Wallace. Cherished brother to Janet (Terry), Jeff (Lisa), and Dawn (Rob). Dean will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Dean was a loyal and supportive friend and coworker to many. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he found great joy in playing, coaching, and watching sports. Summers on the boat and dock were among his favourite times, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Dean and Sharon shared a love for travel, but also treasured time spent at home and at the cottage, working on projects together and hosting gatherings with loved ones. His spirit of kindness, dedication, and warmth will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home Port Perry Chapel, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart of Hastings Hospice in Madoc would be appreciated by the family.
