ADAMACK, Peter John Henry Adamack
January 29, 1948 - November 19, 2025
passed away peacefully at the age of 77.Peter was the son of the late Peter Adamack Sr. of Montreal and Dorothy Rutt of Hamilton, Ontario, and brother to his sister, Sandra. Over the course of more than four decades in the hospitality industry, he held management roles across Canada, including in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver, before retiring to BC, first to Oliver, and, for the past fourteen years, Kelowna. Known for his professionalism, warmth, and ability to put others at ease, Peter built a respected and accomplished career.
An avid sports enthusiast, Peter especially loved golf and could often be found on the course whenever time allowed. He also enjoyed hockey, tennis, and baseball, and maintained a lifelong appreciation for the camaraderie and energy these sports provided.
Following his retirement, Peter devoted himself to volunteer service. He served for many years as an ambassador at Kelowna General Hospital, where his steady presence and welcoming manner offered comfort to countless patients and families. He also provided transportation for individuals attending medical appointments and contributed his leadership as vice president on the board of Sunrise Village. His commitment to service reflected his belief in giving back to the communities in which he lived.
Peter is survived by his son, Michael Adamack; daughter-in-law, Kim; and his grandchildren, Maddy and Max, who will carry forward his memory with love and respect. He will also be remembered by extended family members, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and integrity.
A celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC), bringing together the many people whose lives were brightened by his presence.
