With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Theresa Marylyn Adams, surrounded by her family at the Brockville General Hospital on July 11, 2025 at the age of 76.

Beloved mother of Stephanie Cook (Tim) of Cobourg, Rochelle Reddick (Brian) of Prescott and Tania Adams of Brockville. Treasured grandmother of Avery Cook.

Loving sister to Bernie Davy (Ann), Paul Davy (Lillian), June Simpson (Tom), Laura O’Brien (Bob), Dan Davy (Roxanne). Sister-in-law Cheryl Davy. Predeceased by her brother Mark Davy and her parents, Larry and Marie Davy. Born in Cardinal on February 25, 1949.

Her love of learning and children led to a rewarding teaching career that spanned over 34 years. Her proudest accomplishments were raising her three daughters and spending time with her grandson. Marylyn loved her summers camping, winters curling, gardening, lunch dates with her friends and treasured time with her siblings and large extended family.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the compassionate doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists at BGH for their care during Marylyn’s journey.

A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Denis Catholic Church in Athens on Thursday, July 17 at 10:30 am. Private family interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cardinal, ON. A Celebration of Marylyn’s life will take place at the Cardinal Legion from 1:30–4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marylyn’s memory can be made to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation or the Good Samaritan Trust Fund of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario.
