SILLIKER, Alice Jeanette Silliker Obituary

SILLIKER, Alice Jeanette – Loving partner of Guy Cloutier of Aylmer, Quebec and mother to Shannon Graves, Petra Merrick and Dave Merrick of Ottawa peacefully left this life on August 28th, 2015.

She was the grandmother of Benjamin and Edan Tudge, Stephen, Brian and Joey Merrick, as well as her great granddaughter. 

Alice fought a long, valiant battle against small cell cancer, and to know this woman was to know what the word “fighter” truly meant. She never once surrendered to the illness, considered packing it in, nor did she ever even entertain the fact that she would not conquer cancer.

Alice was pre-deceased by her mother Anne Jeanette Silliker-Stewart (Nee, Ellis) and father Lloyd David Silliker. As well, she was also pre-deceased by Hazen Silliker, Virginia Buchanan of Mississauga, Ontario, as well as her brother (living), Ralph Silliker, of Calgary, Alberta.

The memorial service is to be held at Glebe St James United Church, 650 Lyon Street South, Ottawa, Ontario in the sanctuary at 4 PM on October 4th, 2015.

The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made instead to Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie.
