ALLMAN, W. Doug Allman

Known affectionately by friends and family as “Doug,” passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on December 14 2025 at the age of 83.

A man of character, hard work, and quiet strength, Doug left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he came across.  He spent his career at General Motors Canada, where he was respected by his colleagues for his integrity and hard work. After retirement he became a successful real estate agent with Century 21. Whether he was at work or at home, Doug was a person people could turn to.  He found his greatest joy in the simple things: a quiet morning with a cup of coffee and a newspaper, a long walk with his beloved dogs over the years, and, above all, time spent with his family.

Doug is survived by his brother Gordon Allman (Kathy), children Karen Daigle (Terry), Joanne Willcock (Shawn) and Doug Allman, Wife Patty Allman, step-children Julie Gorman (Kevin), Trish Bush (Chris),Angie Bush (Steve), David Bush (Natalie), nieces and nephews, many Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and Great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents E. Gerald Allman and Katherine Ada Allman as well as his brother Gerald Allman.

He is loved and missed by all his family and friends.

A memorial ceremony of Doug will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Saturday December 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will commence at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow the ceremony.
